1- A rich man’s son was graduating college. For months, the son was asking his father for a new car, knowing that his father had more than enough money. When graduation day came, the young man’s father called him into the study. The father handed him a wrapped gift and congratulated the new about to be graduated on his achievement.
2- Looking disappointed, the son opened the gift to find a lovely, leather bound journal, with the young man’s name embossed on the cover. He angrily raised his voice, threw down the journal and stormed out. The young man had not seen his father since graduation day. He became successful and was wealthy like his father, with a beautiful home and family.
3- He came to realize his father was aging and it may be time to put the past behind them. Just then, he received a message that his father had passed, and he had to return home to take care of the estate. As the mourning son regretfully returned home, he began searching through his father’s important papers and saw that still new journal, just as he had left it.
4- He opened it, and as he flipped through the pages a car key dropped from the back of the journal. A dealer tag was attached to the key that read “Paid in full. Wherever this car takes you, write about it to remember it forever. Love, Dad”
No matter what you expect, be grateful for what you are given. It may be more of a blessing than you think.

1- Le fils d’un homme riche était en train de finir ses études à l’université. Depuis des mois, le fils demandait à son père une nouvelle voiture, sachant que son père avait plus qu’assez d’argent. Le jour de la remise des diplômes arriva et le père du jeune homme l’appela dans son bureau. Le père lui tendit un cadeau emballé et félicita le futur diplômé pour son succès.
2- L’air déçu, le fils ouvrit le cadeau pour découvrir un magnifique journal relié en cuir, avec le nom du jeune homme embossé sur la couverture. Il leva la voix avec colère, jeta le journal par terre et sortit en trombe. Le jeune homme n’avait pas revu son père depuis le jour de la remise des diplômes. Il devint prospère et riche comme son père, avec une belle maison et une famille.
3- Il en vint à réaliser que son père vieillissait et qu’il était peut-être temps de mettre le passé derrière eux. Juste à ce moment-là, il reçut un message indiquant que son père était décédé, et qu’il devait rentrer chez lui pour s’occuper de la succession. En tant que fils endeuillé, il rentra chez lui avec regret et commença à chercher parmi les papiers importants de son père et vit ce journal encore neuf, exactement comme il l’avait laissé.
4- Il l’ouvrit et en feuilletant les pages, une clé de voiture tomba du fond du journal. Une étiquette de concessionnaire était attachée à la clé avec le message suivant : “Payé intégralement. Où que cette voiture te mène, écris à ce sujet pour t’en souvenir à jamais. Avec amour, Papa.”
Peu importe ce que vous attendez, soyez reconnaissant pour ce que vous recevez. Cela peut être plus une bénédiction que vous ne le pensez.
