1- This is the story of Princess Aurora, the much-awaited daughter of the king and queen, who was cursed by an evil witch, to die by the prick from the spindle of a spinning wheel because her parents did not invite the fairy to her Christening. Fortunately, one of the good fairies who had been invited to the Christening was able to help.
2- Though the princess would still have to be pricked, she would not die, but sleep for a hundred years. She was blessed by the other good fairies, and so grew up to be a beautiful, kind and obedient young girl who was often called Briar Rose.
As predicted, on her sixteenth birthday, Aurora was pricked on her finger by a spinning wheel and fell into a deep sleep, along with every man, woman, child and animal in the castle.
3- A hundred years later, a young prince tried to get to the castle, in order to see the famous beauty that had been asleep for so long. When he found her, he was stunned by her beauty and leaned in for a kiss. This broke the curse, and soon everyone in the castle was awoken from their long, hundred year sleep. The prince and princess were married, and the kingdom was happy and peaceful once again.
Sleeping beauty teaches us that even though evil can sometimes interrupt our lives, when good intervenes, it can soften the blow and eventually, evil will be overcome.

1- Voici l’histoire de la princesse Aurore, la fille tant attendue du roi et de la reine, qui fut maudite par une méchante sorcière. Elle devait mourir en se piquant le doigt avec le fuseau d’un rouet parce que ses parents n’avaient pas invité la fée à son baptême. Heureusement, l’une des bonnes fées qui avaient été invitées au baptême a pu aider.
2- Bien que la princesse doive encore se piquer, elle ne mourrait pas, mais dormirait pendant cent ans. Elle a été bénie par les autres bonnes fées et a grandi pour devenir une jeune fille belle, gentille et obéissante, souvent appelée Rose Épine. Comme prévu, le jour de son seizième anniversaire, Aurore s’est piquée le doigt sur un rouet et est tombée dans un profond sommeil, ainsi que tous les hommes, femmes, enfants et animaux du château.
3- Cent ans plus tard, un jeune prince a essayé de se rendre au château pour voir la célèbre beauté qui dormait depuis si longtemps. Lorsqu’il l’a trouvée, il a été stupéfié par sa beauté et s’est penché pour l’embrasser. Cela a brisé la malédiction et bientôt, tout le monde dans le château s’est réveillé de leur long sommeil de cent ans. Le prince et la princesse se sont mariés, et le royaume était à nouveau heureux et paisible. La Belle au bois dormant nous enseigne que même si le mal peut parfois interrompre nos vies, quand le bien intervient, il peut adoucir le coup et finalement, le mal sera surmonté.
