1- An old woman wanted to cross a road. She was weak. Therefore she wanted help. She waited long. She waited alone. She saw a large number of school boys. They were laughing and talking. They were going home. So they were happy. They looked at the old woman. They did not help her. They walked on.
2- But one boy went to the old woman. He said to her, “Mother! Do you want to cross the road? I will help you. I will take you to the other side.” The boy helped the old woman. He led her across the road. He did a good deed. He was happy. He said, “I helped somebody’s mother. So, somebody will help my mother in her old age.”
3- “Dear God! Be kind to this good boy,” said the old woman in her prayer.

1- Une vieille femme voulait traverser une route. Elle était faible. Par conséquent, elle voulait de l’aide. Elle attendit longtemps. Elle attendit seule. Elle vit un grand nombre de garçons d’école. Ils riaient et parlaient. Ils rentraient chez eux. Alors ils étaient heureux. Ils regardèrent la vieille femme. Ils ne l’aidèrent pas. Ils continuèrent leur chemin.
2- Mais un garçon s’approcha de la vieille femme. Il lui dit : « Mère ! Voulez-vous traverser la route ? Je vais vous aider. Je vais vous emmener de l’autre côté. » Le garçon aida la vieille femme. Il la conduisit de l’autre côté de la route. Il fit une bonne action. Il était heureux. Il dit : « J’ai aidé la mère de quelqu’un. Alors, quelqu’un aidera ma mère dans sa vieillesse. »
3- « Cher Dieu ! Soyez bon avec ce gentil garçon, » dit la vieille femme dans sa prière.
